Nicola joined Bryden Wood as an Associate Director within the Structures team.
With over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry, her experience lies in the structural design and project management within the Residential, Industrial, Retail, Educational and Commercial sectors where she is fully conversant with design of all major structural materials. She has also experience in modular construction, particularly in the student accommodation market and the great benefits this brings in this regard.
Her roles over the years include being a team lead on many multi-disciplinary projects from conception to completion. Values of these projects range from small school projects (values circa £5m) through to larger retail projects (values circa £120m). This demands close working relationships with all members of the Design team and Clients ensuring collaboration and coordination is maintained throughout the design process and beyond. As part of her experience on larger projects, she is fully conversant with the BIM process and the advantages to the whole life cycle to a project this brings.
