Nigel is a chartered chemical engineer with a background in operations and process engineering design.

Through his career, Nigel has mostly led owner process engineering teams, providing support to daily operations and project implementation from inception through to full operation. This work has mostly taken place in large commodity based continuous process industries including paper, oil refining/petrochemical, sugar and the bioethanol industries. These highly regulated and energy intensive environments have led to a keen interest in process safety and sustainable manufacturing.

More recently, Nigel has taken up Principal and Lead Process design roles in batch chemical and pharmaceutical projects. He has also led a number of energy/carbon reduction projects at the feasibility stage for a number of sites across the world for two major pharmaceutical clients.

At Bryden Wood, Nigel has worked on front-end collaborative projects for a global pharmaceutical client in a process/technical support role
