Phil joined Bryden Wood in January 2015 and works on both the civil and structural side of projects.

Previously Phil was involved in the design and construction of wastewater treatment facilities in a purely civil engineering role. Since joining Bryden Wood Phil has been involved with the design of a multitude of different projects ranging from commercial to residential, governmental to industrial. These have included new builds, refurbishments and demolishment, with total project costs ranging from £100k to £1.2bn.

Phil is currently working on the Sugar House Island development in east London where he is providing civil expertise to a number of multi-storey residential blocks and commercial spaces. Phil has also been involved in many projects from conception through to completion, for instance a large private hospital in Birmingham where Phil has been lead engineer that is now nearing completion.

Phil has also helped create a mentoring scheme within the Civil and Structural team to guarantee continued development and support is provided amongst his colleagues and also to ensure experience is imparted to junior members, thus encouraging internal growth. Phil is currently in a BWL programme to become a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Civil Engineers.
