Since joining Bryden Wood, Russell has gained extensive experience across a wide variety of sectors; residential, aviation, data centres, healthcare, education and commercial.

Russell has an in-depth knowledge of detail design, regulatory requirements (Building Regulations and British Standards), specification and product performance, collaboration between design disciplines, BIM design processes and Design for Manufacture.

Russell joined Bryden Wood in 2005, initially working at Heathrow on the Terminal 5 project as a Technical Integrator, becoming the interface between the main contractor and numerous sub-contractors. Following this project Russell joined the central office where he worked as Project Leader on the Athlete’s Village for the 2012 London Olympics, from its inception in the office. This role involved detail design, package co-ordination with Plot Architects/consultants/third parties and also developed to an on-site presence to monitor the construction.

Russell is the lead Architectural Technical Director within the office, working closely with key members across a range of projects within the office, and is responsible for overseeing and implementing a consistent high level of technical strategy and detail, across all stages and sectors within the office.

Russell has managed a number of projects at Bryden Wood; from the design phase, into construction and all the way through to completion, all whilst demonstrating an awareness of both client aspirations and the practicalities required to deliver a successful project.
