Thomas is a Professional Mechanical Engineer who moved to the UK from Canada and joined Bryden Wood in October 2015.

He is responsible for coordinating the SolidWorks team of modellers to bring high quality parametric CAD capabilities to various projects across all disciplines at Bryden Wood. Since joining Bryden Wood, Thomas has been involved in both architectural and structural projects, including a DfMA residential housing system for a major contractor and Cross Rail Tunnel Cladding projects. Current work on the Cross Rail Cladding system involves the coordination and development of fabrication level SolidWorks models and drawings, from concept to fit out. The modelling approach incorporates fundamental architectural intents, structural support elements, access for mechanical and electrical services, design for fabrication and installation, and meta-data for tracking and QA. He also provides on-site support for design validation and installation.

Before joining Bryden Wood, his engineering work in the Oil & Gas sector had a structural focus that included all aspects of design from concept through to fabrication level drawing packages. Other work has included finite element analysis, manufacturing Lean Six Sigma project coordination, and industrial process research and programing. This diverse range of professional experiences and foundation in engineering builds on Bryden Wood’s multidisciplinary approach, which leverages the latest modelling software.
