Yiannis joined Bryden Wood in December 2015 and is responsible for modelling complex structures using SolidWorks and delivering high detailed outcomes. He is a qualified BA (Hons) Product and Furniture Designer with multiple projects demonstrating a high level of creativity and strong technical skills. Advanced skills developed during his academic career such as 3D modelling, 3D rendering and generating detailed GA technical drawings have made Yiannis a highly skilled designer which allows him to have a greater understanding of the drawing work required and the structural systems being modelled. Since joining Bryden Wood Yiannis has been involved in the Laing O’Rourke Cross Rail Tunnel Lining project.

Yiannis is currently involved in the design of a new cladding system that includes a stainless steel support structure to carry GFRC cladding panels. The system will be used in the platform, concourse, escalators, cross passages and access tunnels in Liverpool Street, Tottenham Court Road and Whitechapel stations. The design needs to facilitate a “right first time” erection and a zero tolerance design that minimises fixings into the tunnel wall.

Yiannis is responsible for cross passages and concourses in all three stations. Everyday tasks include modelling of accurate fabrication models and highly detailed technical drawings. He liaised effectively with directors and team-leaders to meet project deadlines. And he is also involved in problem solving and producing of project wide materials.
