Bryden Wood London is looking for Senior HR Champion to join our international, dynamic design office in central London. Bryden Wood is an international company of architects, engineers, creative technologists, designers, and analysts. We are shaping the future of construction by bringing integrated expertise, innovation, open minds and creativity to unravel the most complex problems and create exceptional, sustainable design solutions – all for a better built environment. We employ 300 people and also have offices in: Athens, Barcelona, Madrid, Milan and St Albans.

We are seeking a dynamic Senior HR Champion to join our leadership team. This role is crucial in shaping and implementing our HR strategy, focusing on recruitment, people development, and internal communications.

About you:

  • 10+ years’ experience - with time in a leadership role - in an HR function, ideally within professional services.
  • Equivalent CIPD / HR degree-level qualifications.
  • Experience working with a network of international offices preferred.
  • Legal experience preferred.
  • Experience of leading and implementing internal communications strategies.
  • Great presentation skills or willingness to hone these skills.
  • An open, friendly but professional attitude with high levels of discretion.
  • An interest to undertake continual HR-related training and refresher training, where beneficial.
  • The ability to liaise continually and flexibly with senior management on both specific workstreams and broader strategic direction.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach.

This role:

  • Be our company’s HR Champion, helping to create and deliver a world-class strategy on recruitment, people development, and retention.
  • Be responsible for People / HR policies for all our international offices.
  • Continue to develop our diversity and inclusion strategy.
  • Continue to improve and implement our internal communications strategy.
  • Be responsible for key areas of career development, including our appraisal process, post-appraisal action plans, onboarding, and 3/6/9/12-month check-ins.
  • Be the Champion for our important quarterly employee survey.
  • Be responsible for continuing to improve our company-wide training programme that ties together existing CPDs with other opportunities for professional growth.
  • Support our Events team to curate social events that deliver value for everyone.
  • Support our Wellbeing team to deliver a programme that continues to promote wellbeing across our workforce in a meaningful way.
  • As part of the leadership team, help the company, over time, to establish an even more engaged and productive office culture.
  • Establish and monitor HR-related KPIs.
  • Help the digital team to implement strategies to automate various reporting workstreams and tools.
