Bryden Wood Milano is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic and growing international team. At Bryden Wood, integrated teams work across a broad range of sectors, so we’re looking for Engineers who can work at the same time on multiple projects at varying stages of development, from concept through to delivery. You will work closely with Architects and Engineers to develop complex, innovative, exciting projects. You will also bring your experience and specialist knowledge to work in direct contact with our clients, enabling collaboration and rapid scheme development.

We have a large range of projects, both in Italy and internationally, from healthcare, to data centres, from pharmaceutical production buildings to transport, and we are looking for a strong team player and a professional with a proven ability to think creatively, and act tactically and efficiently.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will help in building up the MEP Team and will liaise daily with the wider international MEP team. You will be expected to have a good understanding of the company’s culture and core values and a good understanding of the company’s business plan and objectives.

You will report to Associate(s) or Associate Director(s) or Director(s) and be responsible for operational delivery and enhancing the quality of our service offerings by taking responsibility for the design development ensuring a high standard of engineering.

Essential Requirements

  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Good communication skills within the team and facing clients.
  • In depth knowledge of the Italian regulations (UNI, ISO, ASHRAE, antincendio, simulazione dinamica delle prestazioni degli edifici, exLegge 10, HVAC, Antincendio, ecc.).
  • Ability to produce good quality documentation, integrating the design with other disciplines, ensuring we always deliver a coordinated design.
  • Think and design with sustainability goals in mind.
  • Ability to think outside the box, and support the team in developing new and innovative strategies.
  • Knowledge of relevant engineering software.
  • Revit/Navisworks knowledge.
  • Previous work experience in UK and/or knowledge of the UK regulations would be an advantage.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years of working experience.
  • Ideally Professional Qualification (Iscrizione Albo Professionale)
  • Ideally BREEAM / LEED / WELL qualification.
