Bryden Wood are looking for highly motivated and skilled applicants with a background in façade engineering and cladding systems. We are expanding our capacity and capability to push the boundaries of off-site manufacturing and DfMA design in the construction industry. Our goal is to develop our industry-leading reputation and to move the industry toward integrated manufacturing and productised solutions.
The role will involve working on a variety of projects, working within our diverse team of Engineers, Architects, Product Designers, and Technicians to develop novel design solutions and advanced construction methods.
The position is open to Junior and Senior Façade Engineers.
The position is open in Barcelona, Milan, London, Athens, Romania, Singapore or Australia.
Knowledge/experience/skills:
- Experience in façade engineering
- Experience in façade specification writing is an advantage
- Experience in detailing of cladding systems
- Knowledge of constructions methods, processes, and UK + European codes
- Knowledge of fabrication or manufacturing process and practices
- Knowledge to achieve technical compliance in detailing, analysis and reports (e.g. thermal, condensation, acoustic, fire, weather tightness etc.) and familiarity with related software
- Key interest in technical design and details
- Understanding of the principles of BIM
- Positive / Proactive
- Ability to fully participate in façade meetings in English is expected, experience in team coordination and leading is an advantage
Software:
- Calculation software related to façade engineering
- Revit
- Experience with packages such as Dynamo, Grasshopper is an advantage, enough knowledge packages for of visualisation and report writing eg. Adobe Suite, MS office packages is expected.
Educational background
- Master’s degree in Façade Engineering or alternatively Architecture or Engineering with façade specialism
