The process of delivering built assets has become fragmented. Value gets diluted at every stage. Design to Value changes that. It's a unifying methodology that brings rigour, logic, and data to every decision.

Our approach has evolved significantly over the years. But, at its core, remains constant:

Three core goals are shaping our direction:

  • To understand what truly drives value for our clients

  • To critically interrogate the brief

  • To pursue the solution that creates the most value

Technology and data underpin everything we do, applied with both creativity and rigour. By modelling every aspect of each project, we deliver predictable outcomes, accurate programmes and costs, and full transparency of risk - enabling us to uncover opportunities at every stage to enhance value and drive efficiency.

We work in an open, integrated, cross-disciplinary way, bringing both energy and precision to every project. With a single, unified design team, we deliver a comprehensive and balanced response that thoughtfully integrates value, quality and aesthetics.

Design to Value:

The architecture of holistic design and creative technology sets out the methodology behind every project we deliver.

Written by Mark Bryden, Professor John Dyson, Jaimie Johnston MBE and Martin Wood and published by RIBA in 2022, the book traces how Bryden Wood's Design to Value approach moves a project from business intent to built outcome, drawing on more than twenty international case studies. It is a practical account of how we define value before we design, and remains the clearest explanation of the thinking behind our work. The book is available to purchase from RIBA Books.
