We are seeking a Structural Engineer or an Architect with a master’s degree in Structural Engineering to join our team in Milan to support a series of new projects, including:

· Numerous major Data Centre projects and campus master planning throughout Europe and the US.

· DfMA (Design for Manufacturing Assembly) developments and studies.

· Precast Façades projects.

· Distribution centres across the UK and Europe.

· Pharma, Process and laboratory facilities across the UK and Europe.

· Some critical infrastructure major projects such as Rail Stations or Airports.

Our projects span a broad range of sectors and stages, all following Bryden Wood’s company ethos.

About the Role:

This is an opportunity for an ambitious and highly capable Structural Engineer with 2–5 years of experience to join our multidisciplinary team. We require a very sound technical background in design principles for steel and concrete structures as well as foundations and retaining systems.

The role includes the production of structural designs, calculations, interdisciplinary coordination, BIM models and graphic deliverables checks, as well as providing on-site technical assistance to contractors.

Essential requirements:

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Structural / Civil), Architecture, Building Engineering, or country-origin equivalent.

· Minimum 1 year of experience designing steel and concrete structures as well as foundations and earth retention structures.

· Excellent communication skills in Italian and English, both written and verbal.

· Knowledge of FEM software such as ROBOT, ETABS, or SAP 2000.

· Knowledge of Italian structural regulations and Eurocodes.

· Excellent organisational skills, self-motivated and able to take responsibility, able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks.

· Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of an effective multinational and multicultural team.

· Candidates must be fully entitled and legally eligible to work in Italy.

· The role is based in Milan and offers hybrid working arrangements.
